Dear Parent / Guardian,
On Tuesday 5th July, we are very excited to be holding our annual sports day at Cardiff Metropolitan University for years 7, 8 and 9.
Students need to arrive at school by the normal time of 8.25am. Students will need bring food and water for the day and must wear their Cathays High PE kit to school, which can include their house colours E.g. t-shirt or polo shirt:
Llewellyn – Yellow
Dewi – Red
Glyndwr – Blue
Hywel – Green
Students will get a coach from school at 9am to go to Cardiff Met and will return to school between 2.15pm and 2.45pm. Students will be able to leave straight from Cardiff Met at 2.30pm, but MUST be picked up by a parent/guardian. If you plan on picking your child up from Cardiff Met, please contact Mr Jay at djay@cathays.cardiff.sch.uk with your child’s name to inform him that you plan to do this. If you don’t intend to pick your child up from Cardiff Met, they will leave school at the normal time of 3.10pm.
If your child receives free school meals, arrangements will be made so that they still receive lunch while out at sports day.
