Supporting Pupils’ Learning From Home

At Cathays we believe that engaging parents in pupils’ learning is a great way to help them make progress. We are developing knowledge organisers that contain the core curriculum knowledge we want pupils to gain at Cathays, for each of the different subjects they study. The link below contains these knowledge organisers, as well as some suggestions for how you can encourage your child to use them and support their learning at home.

KS3 New Curriculum Subjects Overview

Progression – Progression in learning is how your child develops and improves their skills and knowledge over time. This means increasing their breadth and depth of knowledge, deepening their understanding, and refining their skills, all while becoming more independent and applying their learning to new situations.
