Dear parent/ guardian,
During the summer holiday new systems and tills were installed in our canteen by the Local Authority’s Canteen Service, who are responsible for our school meal service. The new system means that the canteen staff are unable to “lend” money to students who have insufficient funds in their Parent Pay account in the way they were able to in previous years. Therefore, if your child purchases lunch in the school canteen it will be important that parents regularly monitor their child’s Parent pay account to ensure that they have sufficient funds available to purchase the meal of their choosing. This does not impact pupils who are receive free school meals or who bring their own lunch to school.
