Year 9 Rewards Week Champions – 9AJ!
Dear parent/guardian,
Earlier this year, I held two separate ‘Rewards Week’ competitions for Year 9 pupils in all six form classes. The challenge in both competitions was to gain the most achievement points and praise cards to get the overall highest figure.
All Year 9 pupils rose to the challenge, but one form class stood out in particular. Not only did 9AJ storm to victory once during the first ‘Rewards Week’ battle back in October, but they did it again one month later in November! This makes the pupils in 9AJ the first back-to-back winners of this kind of competition that the school has ever seen!
As a member of the 9AJ form class, your child has performed exceptionally well over the last term in school. This is no small feat, as the current circumstances have obviously made school life significantly more difficult in recent years. I am beyond proud of the achievements your child has made, and I hope to see them continue to gain confidence, resilience, pride and ability as the months and years go on. In total, 9AJ pupils, including your child, gained 1,484 achievement points over the two week competition!
I could not be more pleased with the effort and behaviour of every pupil in 9AJ. Please pass on my congratulations to your child. Hopefully, much more to come!
Best wishes,
Mr James Unwin – Head of Year 9
