I wanted to share some important key dates for your diaries: 

Key Dates for Parents/Guardians – Autumn Term 2025

Wednesday 8 October – PPG 1 Submission Deadline
Staff will submit PPG 1 (Pupil Predicted Grades) data. Where interventions are recommended, parents will be informed, and an intervention timetable will be shared with students. Attendance at these sessions is strongly encouraged to support academic progress.

Monday 10 November – Student Wellbeing Survey
Students will complete a survey to share feedback on their school experience. The results will help staff identify key areas for improvement and inform the school’s development plan.

Thursday 20 November – Year 12 AS Level & GCSE Resit Parent Evening (4:00–7:00 PM)
Invitation letters will be sent two weeks in advance. We encourage all parents/guardians to attend, as we cannot guarantee that subject teachers will be able to provide individual updates via email.

17 November – 5 December – Pre-Public Examinations (PPE)
Students will sit formal assessments to support exam preparation. This is the first of two PPE rounds at Cathays and is essential for tracking progress. Missed exams must be rescheduled with subject teachers, which can cause disruption—so full attendance is important.

Wednesday 10 December – PPG 2 Submission Deadline
Staff will submit updated PPG data. Parents will be contacted if further support is needed. We hope to see clear progress in student attainment at this stage.

Working together to support your child through their AS Levels is vital. Full attendance and engagement are key to success, and your continued cooperation is greatly appreciated.
