Dear Parents/carers
We are pleased to inform you that all Post-16 students will be attending the Cardiff Careers Fair, an exciting event designed to help students explore their future education and career options.
The Autumn Cardiff Fair provides students with an excellent opportunity to speak directly with a wide range of universities, apprenticeship providers and colleges. Exhibitors will include Russell Group universities, red brick institutions, modern universities, local colleges, and leading apprenticeship providers. This will allow students to gather valuable information and ask questions about the pathways available to them after sixth form.
Throughout the event, students will also have the opportunity to attend a variety of informative seminars covering topics such as:
- UCAS personal statements and application advice
- Why choose an apprenticeship?
- Choosing the right university course
- Higher and degree apprenticeships
- Student finance
This event is particularly beneficial for Year 13 students who are currently making decisions about university, higher education courses or apprenticeships, and for Year 12 students who are beginning to consider their post-18 options and future career aspirations.
Attendance at this event is expected for all students. We believe the information and guidance available will be invaluable in supporting students with informed decision-making about their future pathways.
Please note that students will be required to make their own way to and from the venue. They should ensure that appropriate travel arrangements are made in advance and that they arrive promptly for the start of the event.
Thank you for your continued support. We are confident that this visit will provide our students with valuable insight into the opportunities available to them and help them make informed decisions about their future.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs C Taylor
Area Leader for Sixth Form
