Dear Parent/Carer,
We would like to invite you to attend our Year 12 Parents’ Evening on Thursday 19th November between 4pm and 7pm. This event provides an important opportunity for you to meet with your child’s teachers and discuss their progress as they begin their post-16 studies.
Year 12 is a significant year in a student’s educational journey. The transition from GCSEs to A Levels brings increased academic challenge, greater independence and the need for strong study habits. The same applies for students studying on our GCSE Restart programme or New Arrivals provision.
Parents’ Evening will allow you to gain an insight into how your child has settled into their courses and what they can do to maximise their success.
During the evening, teachers will be able to discuss:
- Your child’s current progress and attitude to learning.
- Strengths and areas for development within each subject.
- Attendance and engagement in lessons.
- Independent study expectations and revision strategies.
As a parent or carer, your support plays a crucial role in your child’s achievement. Research consistently shows that students make the greatest progress when schools and families work together. By attending Parents’ Evening, you will be better informed about your child’s progress and how you can support them throughout the year.
The evening will also provide an opportunity to ask questions, raise any concerns and work collaboratively with staff to ensure that your child reaches their full potential.

We strongly encourage all parents and carers to attend and look forward to meeting with you.
Yours faithfully,
Chloe Picken
