Dear Parents/Guardians,
Uniform Policy Reminder
As we move into the summer term, we wanted to remind all parents/guardians and students of our school’s uniform policy. The school’s policy states that all uniform items must be unbranded, other than the Cathays High School logo. The policy around branding includes footwear and helps to avoid any undue pressure on families to purchase the latest fashion items, which can be expensive.
Please take the half term break to ensure your child has uniform, including footwear, in line with the policy. We understand that children grow and replacing broken or outgrown uniform items can be expensive. There is support available at school to support families with this if needed. Please contact your child’s Head of Year if you are interested in support to replace items that your child needs.
Pupils arriving at school in non-uniform items will be asked to swap to unbranded items provided by the school. Where we do not have items to fit your child we will call you for support to either bring a suitable item or collect your child for them to change and return the correct items.
We appreciate your cooperation in our drive for consistent application of our policy. Please contact your child’s head of year if you wish to discuss this letter.
