Dear Parent/Guardian,

Here at Cathays High we take pride in offering many extra-curricular activities for your children.  One of our most exciting trips is our ski trip.  During the Easter 2023 break we are taking a small group of our pupils to the Italian resort of Bardonecchia.  This is a small, high-altitude resort that is perfect for novice skiers but also has some level of challenge for pupils with more skiing experience.

We have been given the opportunity to open the trip up to our new Year 7 cohort.  This is an exciting trip with lots of opportunities for new experiences and to build friendships across year groups. Pupils will be accompanied by staff that have many years of skiing experience.

The trip will run from Saturday April 1 2023, returning April 8 2023. The total costincludes travelling costs, 5 nights full board accommodation, 5 days lift pass, 5 x 4 hours per day of ski lessons, 5 day ski, boot, pole and helmet hire. This price also includes all après ski activities such as swimming, quiz, and disco. It also includes full sports travel and medical insurance. Pupils will travel by coach from Cardiff to Italy.  We will be staying at the Hotel Villaggio Olimpico, a 3* hotel very close to the slopes. The total cost to pupils will be £900.00.  We aware that this is being offered at a shorter notice so we have split the payment dates across a slightly longer timeframe.  You can of course, make additional payments at any point.

To secure your child’s place you will need to pay the first deposit by November 1^st.  This is a non-refundable deposit.

• £100 – Wednesday March 1^st 2023
