Dear parent/carer,
As the weather starts to get warmer, pupils may wish to wear a lighter weight coat. A thin waterproof jacket that can be worn over the blazer is a suitable option. Please remember that blazers are an essential item and must be worn every day. The school jumper is an optional extra to provide additional warmth. As a school we ask for your support to ensure all students are prepared and proudly wearing the correct uniform every day. Non uniform items will be confiscated and can be collected at the school gate at the end of the day.
Denim or leather jackets and hoodies are not permitted. Hoodies with the school logo on are only to be worn on PE and should be stored in pupils’ bags until their PE lesson along with their other kit. School hoodies are not part of everyday uniform and should not be worn outside of PE lessons or organised sporting activities.
When we return to school on Monday 8th April after the two week break we will be paying extra attention to ensure this part of our school’s uniform policy is being followed by all pupils.
If you need additional support to purchase a suitable jacket or wish to discuss our uniform policy, please contact your child’s Head of Year.
Yours faithfully,
Natasha Jones
Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion & Wellbeing
